The Book of Kells
Web site connected to an exhibition at Oregon State Library, U.S.A., featuring many images and some background information on The Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript of the four Gospels begun at the island monastery of Iona and completed at Kells, Ireland following the Viking invasion of 805. The text is St. Jerome's Vulgate, written in a calligraphic Irish hand. This is one of the latest additions to the Textual Criticism page.

New Testament Greek IQ Flash
By Drew Berkemeyer: another enjoyable computer tool for new students of New Testament Greek. This is essentially a computerized "flash cards" programme. Once downloaded, a box appears on your screen from time to time to test your knowledge of basic Greek vocabulary. This is available for free download and it is a lot of fun -- recommended for first year Greek students (note, however, that it can be a little fussy about your answers!). Click on the link above and follow the instructions. This is one of the latest additions to the Greek New Testament Gateway where you will find many useful tools for New Testament Greek students.

NIV Bible - New International Version Resources
Site provided by the International Bible Society providing useful, extensive (and generally conservative) resources connected with the New International Version, including FAQ on the NIV; press releases and articles; the full text of books and articles on translation by Dr Kenneth Barker and Dr Scott Munger; and, of course, full access to the text via The Bible Gateway. This is a very useful site for anyone interested in contemporary Bible translation and it is the latest addition to the Bible Translations and Editions page.
