Featured Links: May 2002

Welcome to this month's Featured Links section, with links to Holy Land Photos, an excellent new site full of high quality photographs of the Holy Land; Prof. Dr Alfred Suhl's extensive series of animated powerpoint presentations on Pauline chronology (for readers of German); and Jeffrey L. Staley, Ph.D's homepage, which features full text reproductions of his publications. You can catch up on previous Featured Links here:

Holy Land Photos
By Dr Carl Rasmussen: excellent, constantly growing site, the purpose of which is to make images from the Holy Land available to teachers, students, and the general public. The photographs, all of which are annotated, are high quality and the site is already extensive. This is the latest addition to the Art and Images page.

Grundkurs: "Basiswissen zur Chronologie des Apostels Paulus"
By Prof. Dr. Alfred Suhl, University of Münster: this first appeared, along with other elements in CIT (Computerunterstützte Interpretation von Texten) as a Featured Link in December 1999. It returns again because it has been greatly expanded and is now complete. (Note also the new URL, http://cit.uni-muenster.de. This is a German language illustrated course, divided into many sections, each one of which is a stand-alone animated powerpoint presentation. Educational and enjoyable -- more scholars ought to do this! You will need to download the Powerpoint Animation Player to view the presentations, available free (PowerPoint 95) by following a link on the site, or available direct from Microsoft at this link: PowerPoint 97 Animation Player.

Jeffrey L. Staley
Homepage for Jeffrey L. Staley, Ph.D, Adjunct Professor of Theology at Seattle University, Seattle WA. Like increasing numbers of NT scholars, this homepage features course materials, links and a CV, but what will be of most interest to the outsider are full text reproductions of several of Staley's articles. He tends to make them available as MS Word documents (rather than as PDF or HTML) so some users may not be able to view them. You can go directly to his Publications here.
