BSW Multi-Library Search

A remarkable new bibliographical tool from the Biblical Studies on the Web organisation. This tool allows one to search from this one starting point the extensive collections THEOLDI (itself a great resource, a featured link in January 1999), COPAC (Union of universities in the UK and Ireland) and PIB (Pontifical Biblical Institute). There is a promise too that more bibliographical databases will be added in due course, including BSW's own index of articles on the web.

Jesus of Nazareth in Early Christian Gospels

This fine web resource by Andrew Bernhard is the new version of the web site formerly known as The Quest of the Historical Jesus. This is a first class resource, featuring introductions, fresh translations, bibliography and links on canonical, non-canonical and hypothetical gospels. Its most notable new feature is The Greek Fragments of the Gospel of Thomas, an on-line edition of the Oxyrhynchus fragments of Thomas with translation.

Century One Foundation

The web site of Century One, which funds archaeological projects relating to the Bible in the First Century. The site features illustrated information on current projects like the dig at Sepphoris and contains several useful articles, for example Joe Zias on Crucifixion in Antiquity: The Evidence and Bargil Pixner on Church of the Apostles Found at Mount Zion from Biblical Archaeological Review 1990.
