Welcome to the Featured Links. You might have wondered what has been happening with the New Testament Gateway recently. Unfortunately, I've simply been too busy at work and home to update it with the regularity you've been used to over the last five years. But this short vacation for the New Testament Gateway has meant that there is a real build up of good web resources for you. This month's featured links gives you a taster, with more to come soon. Or consult the archive here:
The Bible Translator Also from the Religion and Technology Center, this is a complete on-line archive of the journal The Bible Translator, page by page in JPG images. Access by going to the following pages: This is a massive resource, very useful to Biblical scholars and all those involved in translating the Bible. Note on how to use: Click on the volume number in which you are interested; the contents page for that issue will then appear. Then enter a page number into the box marked "Go to image" and press "OK". You will then be taken to that page and from there you can proceed forwards or backwards. Bible Gateway Commentaries Major new resource from the Bible Gateway -- the full text of the commentary sections (i.e. excluding introductions, bibliography etc.) of the IVP New Testament Commentary series. So far sixteen of the twenty-seven books are covered, including Luke by Darrell L. Bock, Philippians by Gordon D. Fee and 1 Peter by I. Howard Marshall. The Josephus Desktop By Steve Taverner, Dept of History, University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Nicely designed, useful new web resource on Josephus, with fresh on-line versions of Whiston's texts, introductions, chronology, bibliographies, links and some related course materials.
