"An Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs Internet Exhibit: Text & Photos by Richard T. Nowitz". Another excellent, lavishly illustrated site. Includes chapters on Galilee, Jerusalem and the Judean foothills.

A third valuable resource from the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing a cumulative index of illustrated information on the key archaeological sites.
Israel Antiquities Authority
A wonderful web site focusing on all elements of Israel in antiquity. Particularly recommended is the Explore section in which you can see information, images and location maps of ancient sites and synagogues in Israel. The only disadvantage with the site is that it is heavily graphics intensive -- some pages may take a long time to load.
The Israel Museum, Jerusalem
This web site features an illustrated section on Israeli Archaeology through the ages. It also hosts the web site on the Shrine of the Book, the home of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Describing itself as "the premier Biblical Archaeology Website", BibArch features useful information on "the peoples and cultures of the Levant and other regions as they relate to the Biblical record". Includes details of archaeological sites and a helpful glossary.
